Competing Technologies

The REX™ product line has No Real Competition. There are no devices available today that are capable of self-calibration and in-process analyses of dissolved metals in real time at the point-of-interest with no manpower required to operate it and is capable of remote data transfer.
The nearest competing technology for REX™ is ICP Mass Spectroscopy -is a type of mass spectrometry that is highly accurate and used for the detection of metals and non metals. ICP-MS instruments are laboratory based, highly sensitive, require consumable gasses, need constant calibration, require a sophisticated operator and cannot be deployed in the field. Instruments begin at around $145,000 and require a minimum of 6K/yr in gases.

Meso Porous Nano Cellular Carbon Aerogel Foam

REX™ is a patented technology with 147 claims. The enabling material, meso porous carbon aerogel, is nationally and internationally patented.
The Brains of the REX device is our patented flow cell.  Our cell utilizes a technique called capacitive deionization via meso porous nano cellular carbon aerogel foam. Captured Ions are analyzed by means of   proprietary x-ray analysis software. At the end of the analysis period, captured ions are released back into the flow stream leaving a pristine cell ready for the next analysis. The instrument self calibrates prior to each analysis cycle. Typically a low ppb measurement takes less than 1 hour.
